Overview
T h e g ra p h i c s d i s p l a y co n t r o ll e r is a c o m p a ct , high-performance solution designed for three-dimensional (3D) graphics, video encoding & decoding, and general-purpose computing in an embedded environment. T h e g r a p h i c s d i s p l a y c o n t r o l l e r c o m b i n e s a high-performance AM62P Sitara processor with a built-in TSN Ethernet switch to deliver reliable, real-time video and perform data handling for aircraft avionics. It also accepts ARINC࣯ 818 video streams, while supporting serial connections to bezel and touch-screen components. The architecture of graphics display controller supports dual display, a full suite of serial interfaces for peripheral integration, on-board thermal onitoring, and comes with built-in safety mechanisms to maintain data integrity andsystem reliability
Key Features
- Heterogeneous CPU architecture with quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 and dual single-core Cortex-R5F
- 3D Graphic Processor Unit (GPU) with OpenGL support and integrated video encode / decode engines with H.264
- Memory configuration such as 8GB LPDDR4,16GB eMMC NAND, 64MB OSPI NOR flash for boot, and 2MB MRAM for non-volatile configuration data
- Integrated ADIN63xx TSN switch offers two TSN-compatible Ethernet ports plus distinct 1GbE ports for field-debugging and on-board software loading, and an additional 1GbE port for inter- module communication
- ARINC࣯ 818 (A࣯ &࣯ B) input handled by on-board FPGA that extracts data and forwards video frames to the processor via a MIPI-CSI interface
- Serial interface suite such as RS232, SPI, and I²C for communication
- On-board temperature sensor for continuous thermal monitoring
