Overview
The 3-Channel Ku-band LNA module is a compact, high-performance front-end unit that merges a high-power limiter with a low-noise amplifier. The LNA module is positioned directly behind the antenna, enabling it to capture the RF signal immediately at the point of reception. It supports three (3) distinct channels SUM, AZ, and EL each receiving the incoming RF band from 17.1GHz to 17.3GHz through a waveguide interface. Within the module, a high-power limiter (rated for up to 50W in SUM channel and 2W in AZ & EL channels) safeguards the front-end circuitry against reflected power from the antenna, while the LNA stage provides broadband gain with minimal added noise, preserving the system-level
noise-figure requirement. The LNA module operates on a 3.3V power supply, whichDC drives the LNA bias networks. The ruggedized mechanical design ensures reliable operation in harsh environments.
Key Features
