Overview
The 3-axis IMU gyro module is a rugged, high-precision device powered by +5V supply. An onboard LDO regulates this voltage to a stable +3.3V for feeding internal circuits. The microcontroller manages the sensor’s SPI interface, while the SPI output is converted to RS-422 levels and delivered through a Micro-D-sub connector for reliable communication over noisy or long-distance links. Designed for demanding harsh environment applications, the Gyro module provides real-time angular rate data on three (3) axes, with configurable output rates and low-pass filtering. The module’s solid enclosure and reinforced connector protects against vibration, shock, and temperature extremes, making it suitable for inertial navigation, motion control, and other precision-sensing tasks while simplifying system integration by eliminating the need for external regulators and level-shifters.
